We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team on a full-time fixed-term 9-month contract.
In this role, you will support the effective and efficient management of customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, accurate financial processing, and a high standard of customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative capability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative team environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage domestic or international customer accounts for a designated portfolio
- Collect outstanding debts and resolve overdue accounts in line with company policy, maintaining positive customer relationships
- Respond to Accounts Receivable queries from customers across all groups
- Reconcile customer accounts and issue monthly statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Review and release orders in line with credit management policies and daily cut-off times
- Maintain and achieve overdue debtor targets and team KPIs
- Review and clear credit balances, including allocation and matching of payments
- Process receipting of payments and settlement of accounts
- Generate invoices, including free text invoices
- Perform day-to-day AR transactions including verifying, posting, and recording financial data
- Meet month-end deadlines, including reporting and ledger maintenance
- Maintain accurate records, including applying ledger notes to overdue balances
- Support new customer account setup and ongoing maintenance of customer master data
- Contribute to end-of-month reporting activities
- Provide high-quality customer service through all communication channels
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional duties as required
About You:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable or collections-based role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a solution-focused approach
- Solid numeracy and literacy skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar highly regarded)
